Following the recent shocking news, that former Today Show host Matt Lauer was fired for sexual misconduct allegations, actress and “The Real” talk show host Tamera Mowry-Housley has spoken up about what the community can do to better itself.
In a time where it seems everyday someone new is being added to the list of scandals, Mowry-Housley encourages people to pray for the sinners. “Just help them through it with prayer,” she says. "And hopefully they will accept that help," she later adds.
Mowry-Housley is not close with Lauer, but like many of us she acknowledges the role he has played as a public figure. A talk show host herself, she states, "The first step of change is acknowledging that you need to change in the first place.” She believes the power of prayer is the greatest solution to turn to when trials surround you and your community.
Other women have also used their platform in media to speak out on how people can remain humble and forgiving in tough situations, including Today Show co-host Kathie Lee Gifford.
