FREEDOM OVER RELIEF

One of the most difficult things for me is to be in a relationship, business partnership, ministry, or even having occasional acquaintances of some kind based on partial truth or OMITTING the truth. If you know anything about me, I am a NO fluff, NO nonsense kind of woman. PLLLease don’t dance around me or avoid me and not tell me the truth because you think you will hurt my feelings or think I will look at you differently. Don’t say yeah yeah yeah or no, no, no in my favor and not really mean it. And I am sorry I DON’T bite bait. Give it to me straight up I don’t care how hard you think it is…if you need to share something then share it with love and conviction. I ASSURE you it will be love and respect right back every time regardless. This has been my HEART and my conviction…..since I got SAVED for well saved REAL lol.

I DO BELIEVE timing is everything as some situations are very fragile. We need EXTRA WISDOM on how to handle or approach the situation. First OUR HEARTS need to be in the right place and healthy enough to confront and speak the truth in love. THEN we need to pray for the preparation of the heart of the other person. Sometimes one can be unaware that the words, silence, or behavior caused an issue and it is not fair NOT TO share with the individual(s) what is happening. Of course, on the other hand, we realize everyone will not tell us the truth or receive it.  Some people will literally SMILE in your face and won’t mean ONE crack of it with all the turmoil going on in their hearts.. lol but I am so serious. How about that doesn’t matter. It is OUR job to love them not judge them and make sure OUR heart is clear, right, and pure in God’s eyes (fyi-you CANNOT do this without HIM).

When we go through long periods of time without addressing issues it can sometimes feel like a RELIEF because that person or persons are no longer in our circle, we don’t go to the family functions any longer and life is pretty much going well so it seems. But there WILL come a time where this unaddressed issue WILL resurface and it will take us back to square one. And don’t forget the Holy Spirit brings ALLLL things to our remembrance INCLUDING unresolved issues. I know FIRST hand especially during the times I was alone….here comes the Holy Spirit shedding light. And here is the thing, as a child of God we are instructed to speak the truth in love, we are instructed throughout the word of God to get things right and to love. Let’s say our gift is a nice area rug. It does not matter how gifted you are. There is NO RUG beautiful and anointed enough to sweep UNaddressed issues under. We really have to stop avoiding and neglecting what God wants us to get resolved. No more sweeping things under the rug, let’s PULL the rug BACK, ESCORT the elephant OUT of the living room and back to the jungle and get things RIGHT. I encourage you today to seek God’s face and let him work on your heart. God is serious about PURE hearts and we will not be able to go too much longer without Him dealing with us. Let’s VOLUNTEER to pull the cover off ourselves and get things right. He loves us and WANTS US to walk in true FREEDOM… NOT RELIEF.

His word says in John 8:32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. That word Truth in Greek is “Aletheia” which means (A) what is true in any matter under consideration, truly, in truth, according to truth, of truth in reality, in fact, certainly. Then the (B) definition is: what is true in the things appertaining to God and the duties of man, moral and religious truth.

Knowing the truth in relationships with EACH OTHER …AND in the things of God…BOTH….will MAKE US FREE. I repeat that BOTH makes us FREE!

TELL THE TRUTH TO OTHERS. RECEIVE THE TRUTH FROM OTHERS. AND RECEIVE HIS TRUTH. CHOOSE FREEDOM OVER RELIEF.

PRAYER: Lord you are good and your mercy endures forever. I thank you that I can come boldly to your throne of grace. Now help me to be bold and courageous in my relationship with others. Where you have called reconciliation, please work on me. Purify my heart and give me the wisdom and timing. I pray that you bless my communication. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight oh Lord you are my strength and my redeemer. In your great Name Jesus I pray…Amen.

Scriptures:

Galatians 5:13-14 (NIV) You, my brothers, and sisters were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Ephesians 3:12 (NIV) In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

I Peter 2:16-17a (AMP) Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover or pretext for evil, but (use it and live) as bond-servants of God. Show respect for all people (treat them honorably)

Matthew 5:23-24 (NIV) Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that

your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the alter. First, go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
