In 2016, FOX 2000 Pictures brought the untold story of three African-American women to life by sharing their journey and explaining the vital role they played during the development of NASA’s space program with Hidden Figures. Now, after being nominated for three Academy Awards and grossing over $235 million worldwide, their story could be going to National Geographic as a television series.

Variety reports the small screen project is in “the early stages of development,” and will be executive produced by the two creative minds behind the film, Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping.

If the project gets a green light, this will add to Nat Geo’s latest push for scripted television on the network. There’s no word on possible cast members, but if fans are lucky, they’ll get a chance to their see some of their favorite awarding-winniners together again!

National Geographic hasn’t responded to inquiry or delivered any formal statement.
