Close your eyes. Now think of something that brings a smile to your face. Are you still smiling? Hope so...
In this day and age of constant hustle and bustle, we owe it to ourselves to take short sessions to reflect on things that make us happy. As we grow from childhood to adulthood, too often we forget to stop, reflect and smile. Ever notice how most of us seemed happier as a child? That's not a coincidence. That also doesn't mean we don't have many wonderful moments as adults.
It only means that life has conditioned us to "keep it moving", even when good things occur. But we shouldn't take those things for granted. We should step back and appreciate them....give them the positive attention they deserve!
We often say that life is short and tomorrow isn't promised. But we should also add, "....so love life and seek happiness at every possible turn". It will make each moment just that "mo better"
Here is today's thought:
“Reflect upon your present blessings -- of which every man has many -- not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some.” ― Charles Dickens
