No matter how many years you live, life is short.
We often spend too much time worrying about the wrong things....sometimes things that are totally out of our control. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating ignoring things that concern you. What I'm saying is if something bothers you, do all YOU can do to rectify the problem, pray on it and then LET IT GO.
How often do we forget who's really in charge? Yeah I realize its human nature to worry about things. What I'm saying is don't become engulfed in the worry to the point where your focus is misdirected.
Now does praying mean you will get the result YOU want WHEN you want it? Not always...but if you understand the concept "thine will be done", then you can accept it better. Sometimes we think we know what's best, like we have all of the answers. Silly mortals
Don't get me wrong....I sometimes slip back into the "what am I gonna do" mindset, as if I am in total control. But when I see "the problem" giving me greater than anticipated resistance, or becoming too much to bear, I have to rely on the source of my true strength.
Only then can I enjoy the rest of my "short" days
Here is today's thought:
“Worry is most often a prideful way of thinking that you have more control over life and its circumstances than you actually do.”
