Walk a mile in someone's shoes before judging only what you see.
It's human nature to make judgments solely on what we see....or what we THINK we see. But sometimes the eyes can play tricks on you or give you an incomplete picture. Even still, vision without knowledge is merely a hallucination.
But we sometimes get SO caught up in our own opinions about people or in our own feelings, we often rush to judgment without full information. Ever see someone sleeping at their desk and call them lazy or slacker? Did you know the person was working 2 jobs and caring for a sick family member? Ever see someone not paying their bills and assume they are irresponsible? Did you know they are not only a single parent trying to care for their household, but also has elderly parents who have medical needs not covered by insurance?
All I'm saying is before we get up on our high horses and judge that person on the bases of what we THINK we know, find out what's really going on....and possibly help. There but for the grace of God go you and I.
Here is today's thought:
"Be careful how you judge people. You don't sum up a man's life in one moment."
