Anointed worship leader, preacher, songwriter, producer and philanthropist is set to release her debut album “Delayed But Not Denied” Spring 2014. This multi-faceted woman of excellence sits as CEO of Forever Loved Entertainment, Inc, a music, publicity and marketing firm, and as co-founder/ Executive Director of Entertainers 4 Education Alliance/ I WILL GRADAUTE Program a non-profit drop-out prevention organization. As a celebrity event publicist and marketing executive in the music industry for over 15 years and the head of a non profit organization she co-founded with her husband, TLT is ready to start a new chapter in her life. "I have built the careers of some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment industry and have worked to keep our youth in school. It is my time to come from behind the scenes and share my musical gifts with the world, exclaims TLT.”

Delayed But Not Denied” features TLT's soulful praise and worship style of music, a mixture of tear jerking ballads and foot stomping, jump outta your seat songs that  is sure to stir the heart and emotions of the listener and usher them into the presence of God. The lead hit single "Trinity “We Sing” is a high energy, infectious contemporary, praise and worship song that will  reach you spiritually in a profound and unique way. Born into a musical family, the daughter of a Pastor, Tonya Lewis grew up  working in the church. By the age of 5 she was singing and by age 12 she was directing the church choirs. She form her first singing group “The New Life Ensemble while still a teen and while in college she formed the City University of New York Mass Choir, writing directing an utilizing her gifts. Upon graduating college, Tonya pursued a professional music career touring and performing all around the world having been to over 25 countries. 

After making some head way into the music industry and burned out from touring and singing a chance meeting with Bobby Dash of Roc-a-fella Records would  lead to a position as a publicist at Roc-a-fella Records working behind the scenes.  " I found out that I had gift for organizing events and public relations and what was to be a short stint behind the scenes turned into a career that eventually led to forming an event publicity firm with a client rooster to include Jay Z, Kanye West, Swiss beats Bow wow, Russell Simmons, Jamie Fox, Bad Boy Records, Tyreese Gibson, Sony Records, Lifebeat The Music Industry Fights Aids and Universal Records,  just to name a few, Tonya says.”

In 2005 after a school visit with one of her celebrity clients TLT was horrified to learn that less than 50% of Black and Hispanic students in New York did not graduate from high school. She along with her husband J.P. Taylor reached out to their network summoning support from luminaries such as such as Russell Simmons, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Bow Wow, New York Knicks Legend John Starks, Joseph "Rev. Run" Simmons, L. Londell McMillan (Celebrity Entertainment Attorney) Tyreese Gibson (Actor/Singer), Susan Taylor(Essence Magazine) to form Entertainers 4 Education Alliance, Inc.  Soon corporate sponsors including Verizon, Audi, Coca-Cola, Educate Online, Southpole and media conglomerates such as MTV, BET and Time Warner Cable started lending their brands to help the movement.


Since that time TLT and her organization have done tremendous work, from awarding grants to public school students to help pay for college, to founding after school programs, to hosting empowerment seminars and developing public service announcements. Entertainers 4 Education Alliance has given so many students the motivation and support to excel in school and beyond. 


Tonya was awarded several proclamations from Former  New York City’s Mayor, Michael R Bloomberg and former New York State Governor David Paterson for outstanding service in which they declared, I WILL GRADUATE DAY on October 26th for the city and state of New York. Tonya was named one of New York City’s Great People by New York Daily News and taped by Mayor Bloomberg to sit on his '“Interagency Task force on Truancy and Chronic Absenteeism helping the City of New York reduce its dropout rate, Tonya Lewis Taylor says “Entertainers 4 Education Alliance is an extension to my calling as a minister and Minister of Music at my church, First Step Ministry in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, where I oversee the spiritual growth of the youth entrusted in my care and the music department of the church.”

Minister Lewis-Taylor is not only anointed to sing praise and worship but to teach, preach and inspire spiritual rejuvenation by merging spirituality with the practicality of everyday life. Her candid and revealing approach has engaged people across the country and beyond provoking them to pursue a lifestyle of success and excellence. Wherever Minister Tonya Lewis-Taylor goes, she engages, encourages and empowers people to reach their full potential in their personal, entrepreneurial and spiritual lives.   God has fueled this woman with tremendous passion to help broken people and build character in youth.   She is a worshiper that loves God and called to His service to help people become what God created them to be in excellence.

Tonya Lewis-Taylor is a graduate of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she earned a BS (cum laude) degree in Criminal Psychology. She resides in Stuyvesant Heights Brooklyn with her husband, Junior, and 4 children, Jamiaha, Jaila, Jahna and the boy Jaden.  Tonya is excited about this next chapter in her life, her ministry of song.
