Thoughtful Thursday 5-CHEESE MACARONI & CHEESE

1 pound box elbow macaroni, cooked

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar

2 cups shredded jack

4 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons garlic, crushed

3 cups heavy cream

1 cup brie, rind removed

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup parmesan, grated

2 tablespoons sugar sea salt, to taste cayenne pepper, to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Coat 9X13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Drain then add half of the cooked macaroni to pan. Mix in 1 cup cheddar & 1 cup jack cheeses.

2. In a medium saucepan add butter and garlic then sauté over medium heat for 1 minute. Mix in heavy cream, brie, cream cheese & parmesan. When mixture is creamy, add sugar, salt & pepper to taste. Pour the remaining macaroni into pan then cover with remaining cheddar & jack. Pour cream sauce over pasta.

3. Cover with foil & place in oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil & continue baking for 20 more minutes. servings: 12 / prep time: 20 minutes / cook time: 60 minutes
