Tweet and DELETE!

Maxwell took to Twitter with a photo of Lena Horne and a caption that read “including everyone in black history month is beneficial to all of us ’cause not all of us look [like] a typical black.”

The next Tweet read #BlackBlueRedWhiteBeigeHistory

Social Media users proceeded to question his motives and slander the R&B singer until he deleted the tweets and followed up with an explanation.

Maxwell later said that he was referring to “all shades of Black” when he mentioned “EVERYONE.”
