Have you ever tried to iron a skirt or a button up? It's very hard to get to the sleeves. African American inventor, Sarah Boone helped tackle issue by reinventing the ironing board, in 1892. Making it easier to iron creases collars and pants Sarah Boone's one of the first black women to receive a patent in the United States.  Source: LadiSav
