Brooklyn choirboy hit in eye by stray bullet expresses thanks as he leaves hospital

A 13-year-old choirboy hit in the eye by a stray bullet 10 days ago left a Brooklyn hospital Tuesday thankful for the support and prayers he’s received from New Yorkers.

“It’s great,” Gama Droiville said as he left Kings County Hospital with a patch over his right eye. “I’ll get back to my normal life.”

Gama, a member of the choir at the French Speaking Baptist Church in Brooklyn, was shot April 14 as he waited for a bus in Flatbush.

Cops said Kareem Potomont, 21, fired wildly with a pistol at intended target Eduardo Dolphy, 24. Gama was hit by an errant bullet .

“I would like to say . . . a special thanks to the NYPD for catching this guy,” said Gama, who underwent 41/2 hours of surgery to remove the bullet from his head.
