Wife of Harlem subway push victim calls men who saved husband 'angels'

The woman whose husband was pushed onto the subway tracks by a homeless drunk said she believes divine intervention stepped in when two men heroically rescued him.

“God sent angels to come and help,” Yumei Li, 62, said through a translator at the family’s Chinatown church Sunday. “If I can meet them, I have to say thank you to them.”

Cops said two unidentified men rescued 72-year-old Shou Kuan Lin after Rudralall Baldeo, 57, pushed him onto the tracks from an A train platform in Harlem Friday in a chilling attack.

“Americans are very friendly,” the distraught wife said. “My husband fell and two men from far away helped.” After the good Samaritans brought him up from the tracks, her husband said “ ‘Where am I now?’ ” the wife recalled.
