School janitor in Michigan fired for paying 4th-graders to 'rough up' classmate

A school janitor in Michigan lost her job because she hired a couple of tiny tough guys to rough up their fourth-grade classmate.

The janitor offered the two kids $1 in the bully-for-hire plot after the 9-year-old boy told her off, a school spokesman told the Daily News.

Other students and a teacher overheard the cafeteria cleaner’s offer and told the principal at Campus Elementary in Grand Rapids. As soon as lunch was over, the principal confronted the janitor who admitted everything, district spokesman John Helmholdt said.

"There are no words to describe it," Helmholdt said. "This is one of those things that make you scratch your head and wonder how any individual could think this was a good idea." The janitor’s miniature muscle followed through, according to the victim’s mother, who says her son was bullied.
