Thoughtful Thursday TORTELLINI ALFREDO

  1. 1  pound refrigerated tortellini

  2. 2  tablespoons butter

2 green onions, thinly sliced

  1. 1  teaspoon garlic, crushed

  2. 2  tablespoons flour

11⁄2 cups heavy cream
1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

sea salt white pepper

  1. In a large saucepan, boil tortellini according to directions & drain. In another saucepan, sauté butter, green onion & garlic for 2 minutes.

  2. Whisk flour into pan & cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in cream & bring to a low simmer.

  3. Whisk parmesan cheese into the mixture, stir for 5 minutes & allow sauce to thicken. Season with salt & pepper, to taste. Pour Alfredo sauce over tortellini & serve.

    servings: 8 / prep time: 10 minutes / cook time: 15 minutes
