Fun Friday - Margherita-Pizza
1 large ready-made pizza crust
½ cup tomato sauce
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
½ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
3 tablespoons olive oil
sea salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Place pizza crust on a baking sheet. Spread tomato sauce over the crust, leaving a 1/2-inch rim uncovered.
Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over sauce. Sprinkle parmesan over mozzarella then add basil leaves. Drizzle olive oil on top then lightly season with salt & pepper.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until crust is golden brown & the cheese is melted.
