Iowa Allows Kids To Pick Up Guns!

It doens't matter how old your child is because now they can pickup guns under parental supervision. However, if a kid is under the age of fourteen and is using a gun, they can face a felony. This bill was passed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday. The vote was 62-36 and the bill will be reviewed by the House of Senate.

Supporter of the bill, Jake Highfill, told the Washington Post, 'Allowing people to learn at a young age the respect that a gun commands is one of the most important things you can do. He added that it put parents in control and is better than an 18-year-old who picks up a gun for the first time and doesn't know how to use it. Kirsten Running-Marquardt said, 'What this bill does, the bill before us, allows for 1-year-olds, 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds to operate handguns."
